Zihipp is also developing analogues of PYY, a hormone that also controls body weight.  It is anticipated that these peptides will find use in combination with Zihipp’s oxyntomodulin analogues, mimicking the bodies own regulatory mechanisms which utilise multiple gut hormones in energy homeostasis.  Combination therapies are expected to produce significantly greater weight loss than the use of individual agents alone.
